Welcome to Nxabega (Water Buck)

We just couldn't believe our eyes saw a Waterbuck, but it was. As we were crossing the bridges to access the other part of the area, we surprised a female Waterbuck with a sub-adult baby running across the road from the reeds into the mash near us. According to the Guides been in the area for sometimes, this antelope has never been found within Nxabega area. For the last few weeks, we had lions moving all corners of the area as well moved into Xigera area (neighbor camp) where we believe this waterbuck could have moved escaping from the said predator. We hope they will notice that this area also has the preferred habitat and join the other aquatic antelopes.
