In the heart of Maasai territory on the north-eastern boundary of the Serengeti National Park is a private concession of 10 000 hectares, set aside for the exclusive use of Klein's Camp's 20 guests. The spectacular location of the camp on the edge of the Kuka Hills commands sweeping views across a broad valley through which the annual great migration passes.
Feeding time!
To see Leopards in the bush is always an amazing sighting but when we saw this female with three cubs, we were over joyed. When we arrived, they were relaxing in a tree but they eventually came down, lay on the green grass and two of the cubs started suckling. It is extremely rare to see leopard cubs suckling, so we were very lucky!
This was a fantastic day! We were so lucky to be out with Lara and get to see them feeding. It was amazing to see that not one of the leopards were worried about us and were happy for our (many) photographs to be obstructed by bits of the vehicle as they were so close! A very memorable morning!
